Changes to pornography laws – landmark ruling

There was a landmark ruling at the end of January 2019 that ended the ban on some forms of extreme pornography as well as making images of acts between consenting adults legal.

his has been widely hailed as great news for the LGBTQ community who were most impacted by the previous laws and Myles Jackman, obscenity lawyer and LGBTQ advocate, spoke of the need to review all the obscenity laws in the light of social and media changes since they were created.
