There was an interesting and, to Anita, as a parent, a very helpful article in The Guardian this weekend about parenting. Understanding that the relationship between you and your children is one that should be based on mutual respect and kindness as well as love is so important. To be able to do this, most of us need to be able to look at, with clear-sight and compassion, the parenting that we received and commit to not repeating similar mistakes, whilst knowing that we can never avoid them altogether.
